How the free scan works
Take a photo of the front of your game: the label of a cartridge, the front of a box, or a disc. Add the back if you have it: product codes, rating badges and language lines are often printed there. Your browser shrinks the photos and removes their location and camera data before anything is sent.
The scan reads what is printed on the item and answers with the most likely release: title, platform, region and edition, the clues behind it, and anything in the photos that deserves a closer look. Answers are written by AI and can be wrong; check anything that matters before you buy or sell.

Read the codes yourself
Product codes like NUS-NBKP-EUR or SLES- numbers say a lot about a release on their own: see how to read a product code and region locking, console by console.
